Hispanic / Latino Initiative

Here at Parley's we are dedicated to serving the Hispanic/Latino market just as well as we service the non Hispano/Latino market because close to 20% of the population here in the Utah Valley area is now Hispanic/Latino.  Many businesses, merchants, and enterprises here in the valley do little or nothing to serve that market segment.

In addition to having Spanish speaking employees here at the store (se habla Español), we also conduct special outreach programs designed to help hispanics and latinos especially.

For example, from time to time we teach special classes here for Hispanics and Latinos - as we did recently on the subject of "interior design and decor."  We are currently looking at the possibility of both:

• Publishing a Hispanic/Latino bi-lingual newspaper at the store here with special emphases on hardware and related things..
• Organizing a Hispanic/Latino business and professional Networking association with emphasis on the trades.

We also teach other classes here all the time that  Hispanics/Latinos are always welcome to attend as well.  Classes such as:

• Entrepreneurship and Small Business Classes
• Interior Design and Decor Classes
• Personal and Family Preparedness Classes

We may yet teach classes such as the following here as well:

• ESL Classes
• GED Classes
• Citizenship Classes
• and others.
